WHAT WE DO

Thirst for Hope is an initiative that both educates and feeds underprivileged youth within their schools. We train the teachers, create syllabi and ensure that the pupils participate in environmental education, water conservation, food security, sustainable energy solutions and the promotion of healthy living.

In addition to this education, they work in the food gardens we plant with them and thus they become the farmers and harvesters – feeding those most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Further, we provide mentorship and partnerships which allow our pupils to access funding to university education and then bring the graduates back into their communities as mentors.

We are a registered Public Benefit Organisation and Non-Profit Organisation with Section 18A Status for donations or support in South Africa. We are also registered in the United States with 501(C)3 determination. Contact us to find out how to contribute in this regard.
